Well, my vacation is officially over.....It was so hard to go back to work but now we have gotten into our routine again. Miller is just growing up so fast! He moves up to the 1 year-old class at daycare on Monday. We are having so much fun with him - he is such a happy boy!
Miller outside - his favorite place to be!!
Before "School"
Miller climbing - he likes to sit under tables, highchair, etc and wants to climb the stairs.
My sister-in-law, Lanna, and brother, Greg, now have a new addition to their family, Whitten. I just got back from visiting them in Starkville and they are doing great. Whitten is precious and his Big Sister, Maggie is so proud! We love ya'll!! Miller is going to have so much fun playing with his cousins. Hope to see you all again real soon.
Over the summer we have really been enjoying playing in the backyard, in the pool, and swinging at the park. At first, Miller did not like the pool at all but we are so happy that he loves it now!! I am so thankful that I have been able to spend my summer with Miller and I do not want it to end....
We went to Seagrove, Fl with Moss, Shannon, and Ainsley Melton last week and we had a wonderful time! Miller had lots of "firsts" while we were on our vacation. He rode in the car for 8 hours, which is by far the longest trip he has ever been on. I was a little worried about this before we left, but he did really well. Of course we did make a stop or two so that he could get out of his car seat, which made him VERY happy!! Another first was walking in the sand and the ocean. He was a little unsure of the sand but after a while he did not even notice that it was on him. He also got in a big pool for the first time. The first day he was a little nervous but by the end of the week he was splashing and playing in the water. Another big first was that he walked by himself while we were in our condo. He has been cruising around for about 2 months and would take a few steps from the furniture to one of us, but he walked several steps by himself in the condo. Then once we got home, Clay-Clay got him to walk from the coffee table in the den all the way to the dining room by himself! So I believe after our vacation Miller is well on his way to walking!! We had so much fun, and I look forward to all the rest of our vacations with our sweet little Miller.
Once Miller turned one he really started talking. He was making lots of sounds before then but now he talks constantly. I have been trying to catch him on video doing it but usually he will stop once I get the camera ready. I finally got a video yesterday. I wish I had turned the volume down on the TV though. :)
Miller is now 1 year old! I cannot believe it! He wore his #1 outfit to daycare on Friday, which was his real birthday. He looked so cute. Then we had his birthday party on Saturday at our house. It could not have gone any better. He was in the best mood all day! We were a little unsure of the weather so we had the party inside but it turned out great! We are so blessed to have our sweet, little boy in our lives. Here are some pictures of his BIG day!!!
